My name is Sim Siew Foong, also known as Charis Sim. I am currently living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I was a banker before turning into a fitness instructor. In my journey in fitness, I am a dancer and teaches street jazz, modern jazz and lyrical jazz. By having a heart to keep on learning, it helps me in teaching and training. I decided to go into learning about the movements of body through Yoga and Pilates by taking teacher training courses from Surya Yoga for my certification in Yoga and BASI (Body Arts and Science International). A few years later, I decided to move into strength training. I trained and gained certification as well from FITM (Fitness Innovation Malaysia) which is a professional training and development centre in Malaysia. I also ventured into fitness nutrients with FITM. Later, in my journey I went into a barre class because I love dancing, but I still love fitness. As Barre is a very interesting take on mixing dance and fitness together. I fell in love with it and decided to get to know Barre further. From that moment on, I saw Barre’s intensity and I immediately want to be a barre trainer. Today, I am feeling so blessed and happy to be able to help my clients from strength training plus nutrient sharing, to understanding their cardio trainings to help them achieve their desired fitness goals, to help them fall in love with working out and make fitness as a part of their lifestyle! I would love to see how fitness will change and impact their life.
